Saskatoon Christian Centre has been blessed with a vibrant, exciting Worship Team that helps lead our congregation into the presence of the Lord service after service. Our Rhythm Team, Backup singers, Brass section, and Worship Leaders are all Spirit-filled SCC congregation members, several of them being professional or professional-level musicians. This combination of spiritual intensity and musical excellence results in a dynamic worship experience.
Our Worship Team has produced two live Praise and Worship CD's, "Shout It From the Housetops!" and more recently, “Live For You”, which are made up entirely of original songs birthed from true revival. Both of these albums were recorded live at our church with our congregation and have captured a tremendous spirit of worship. We are currently preparing for our 3rd CD, which will be recorded in March, 2008. We also have solo recordings from a number of our Worship Team members. For more information on our CD's, please click here.
Every year, in conjunction with our Drama Department, SCC presents an Easter musical. These productions bring the truth of the gospel story to the stage in a tremendously effective musical/dramatic/multimedia presentation. With a cast and crew of over 100 people, our most recent performance of The Fullness of Time ministered to well over 1,000 guests.
Please go to our online store information on purchasing recordings and songbooks of our music.
Outreach
Worship is an excellent tool for bringing the hand of God to the lost. Many of our team members help provide P&W for different outreach activities including street ministry at our City Centre Church, Seniors’ Homes ministry, and our regular Prison Ministry.
Praise and Worship for our Children’s Church
We know the importance of training up our children in the way of the Lord, and experiencing His touch in worship is something that should be available even to young children. The kids participate in "fun" songs as well as true praise and worship, so as to maintain their attention, while also teaching them how to "come into His presence with singing."
Strengthening other churches
SCC desires to be a resource church, and we have and will continue to make our musical resources available to other churches. These include local Saskatoon churches, churches around Canada and the US, as well as several churches around the world. A great deal of this training is done in conjunction with our Rejoice! School of Music and Praise.
