Christian Centre Academy contains a thriving drama program. The department uses the theatrical arts as a tool to stretch and build character in the lives of our high school students.
The high school credit program, CCA Drama Club, is broken up into two years. The first year focuses on breaking down inhibitions and working as a team while learning the following foundational elements of drama: history, voice quality, facial expressions, and gestures. Building upon the foundation of the first year, the second year program concentrates on characterization and improv.
Every second year, Christian Centre Academy participates in Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E) International Student Convention. The Convention offers the drama students an opportunity to compete against other Christian schools from around the world in such events as poetry recitation, dramatic dialogue and one-act play. This has proven to be a very successful experience with many of our students earning medals and command performances.
On the alternate years, the drama program either puts on a school play or a drama performance night which consists of a series of mini skits.
