CAMP
Autumn…
That sounds so much better than Fall, don’t you think?
Hard to believe that Summer has so swiftly forsaken us. The most non-existent summer on record...at least to me. I only downed maybe 1/8th of the slurpees I planned to, and I never even splashed in a pool or dashed down a slip-n-slide. But, come to think of it, I did hit a few spray parks with my 3 boys and let everyone there know who’s boss!
And now, in just a few days…we are embarking upon the bestest Fall Camp ever. And by ‘bestest’, I mean bestest. Look it up if you have to!
This Fall Camp will go down in the history books as CAMPING OUT.
I never grew up a camper, but over the last few years, my inner-camp-man has emerged. There’s just something about camping. The solitude. The clear starry sky. The lack of modern convenience. The smell of camp fire. The lazy schedule. Aaaahhhh…
And this year, this is where our Fall Camp begins. No, we’re not taking you to the woods. You’ll still get to sleep in those classrooms without getting any demerits, just like you wish you could when the first bell rings in September.
But we will be bringing a little bit of ol’ time camping to you…and you’re gonna dig it (especially if you’re a v-ball player)…(lame joke alert!).
So start packin’ your bags for Fall Camp 2010 (August 22-27), because it’s all about CAMPING OUT.
