I got into Prince Albert yesterday for the kick-off of the WIC (Winners Invitational Challenge) that they host every year. There are lots of students here...from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba...here to compete in various events (everything from sporting events to performance and non-performance events).
So things began with a evening rally last night which I had the honour of speaking at...and we talked about BREAKING RECORDS!
The Apostle Paul was into breaking records...and he talks a lot about it in places like 1 Corinthians 9:24-26, 2 Timothy 4:7, and Acts 20:24. It basically gets summed up like this - "run the race to win". In other words, go BIG or go home! Show up and blow up! If you're gonna make the effort to run, you may as well decide to go for the gusto!
To wrap up the rally, I pulled out about 30 records...like old LP records...those big old black circles that your parents used to buy with music on them...those things that DJ's use to "scratch" in hip-hop muzik....yeah...those...
And to seal the deal, a bunch of teenagers came up and smashed the records to oblivion. Man, those things shatter! It was totally cool!!! Broken pieces of LP's scattered all over the floor.
I believe that God is going to do something really amazing this week in PA with this group of Jesus Junkies.
I miss my lovely wife and 3 boyz...but I'm keeping busy and having a blast of a time.
BlessingsOnYa,
