Biggar Blazers Volleyball Tournament

The Eagles Volleyball Team played at the Biggar Tournament on September 11th, 2010. The girls left Saskatoon at 7:30 in the morning, bundled up in their warm-up suits, and arrived in Biggar shortly after 8:45. Their first game was an easy victory against the Maidstone Huskies. Throughout the morning the girls played three more games, (against Biggar green, Biggar gold, and Paradise Hill), relaxed on mats while visualizing their next game, and had amazing devotions with Coach Weiler. At the end of the round-robin for the day, the Eagles were sitting in first place, not having lost a single set. After a two game break, they headed into the semi-final game, versus Biggar gold. The game went fairly fast and the Eagles came out on top once again. After watching an intense game for 2nd and 3rd place, the Eagles began the gold-medal game against the Paradise Hills Panthers. The game was very intense, with each team battling for every single point. The first set went to 25-23 in CCA’s favour, and in the second set CCA pulled away, winning by more than ten points. Way to go, Eagles, for winning gold at the Biggar Tournament.
